The Maker
Hello! I’m Pugazhenthi J, an artist who finds peace and calm in the process of drawing. There's a sense of tranquility I experience when I put pencil to paper, allowing my thoughts to flow through each line and shade.
I love drawing people, capturing the emotions and details that make them unique. Beyond that, I also draw characters or elements that represent specific moments and situations in my life, each artwork telling its own story, reflecting a personal experience or feeling.
Art, for me, is more than just a passion—it's a way to express myself and share pieces of my journey with the world.

Journey
A Canvas of Beginnings: Where My Art Took Flight
The Spark of Creation
THE FIRST SPARK It all started in Grade 7 — a random moment that became a turning point. Back then, art wasn’t a plan; it was freedom. I was inspired by a friend’s father, a skilled artist whose work felt like portals into new dimensions. His creations sparked something in me. I picked up a pencil and started sketching, not for praise, not for perfection — just for the thrill of seeing lines come alive. Those early drawings were raw, messy, and full of heart. Each stroke added to my hunger to improve, to express, to explore.
Growing through the years
As time moved forward, so did my art. The lockdown — a strange pause in life — gave me space to dive deeper. With hours to spare and nothing but silence, I trained myself. Pencil art became my focus. I studied techniques, tried new styles, failed often, and learned more. What started as a hobby slowly became my second language — a way to speak without words. My sketches grew bolder, more detailed, more honest. Whether it was hyper-real portraits or abstract forms, every piece reflected a different layer of who I was becoming.
Whispers on the Canvas: A Journey Still Unfolding
Art has been my constant companion—a journey of growth, discovery, and endless creation. From playful sketches in childhood to the intricate portraits I create today, every stroke has been a step toward becoming the artist I aspire to be.Each drawing holds a piece of my soul, a fragment of the joy, curiosity, and determination that fuels my craft. As I continue to grow, I carry with me the essence of those early days—the love of creating, the thrill of exploring, and the beauty of discovering something new with every stroke. To anyone reading this, I hope my journey inspires you to embrace your passions, follow your instincts, and create fearlessly. After all, art is not just a skill—it’s a reflection of the world as seen through your heart.
